“Can this be installed (built -in) under the counter in a kitchen? I noticed that it does not have the air flow grill in the front that the other built -ins do.”

Yes it can but you will need to leave a little extra room in back so it can get air. We built it in an island grill outside works and looks great especially at night with the blue light.

HOWEVER. .I dont recommend you install under the cabinet because it needs to have 5 inches of clearance from the back for proper ventilation. Like you stated, no ventilation in front of unit....hope that helps you out in making your decision. ..great unit though. ..Happy shopping!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This unit is not designed to be built-in and runs rather hot on the outside. If installed as a built-in, I would guess that it will not last as long or be as effective because of the external heat it generates.

Please try again later.Hello DH, Our free standing units require at least 5" of clearance on the back and 3" on each other side in order to prevent overheating, our units have an inner wall condenser so the majority of the heat created by the motor is dissipated through the skin on the sides. For that reason we regret to inform you, your warranty has been void due to improper installation.
