I’ve not yet experienced this, we bought it for an outdoor fridge. Been great so far, knock on wood. I know Best Buy is not the BEST at letting you take things back, go with your instincts. Hope all turns out well :)

There is a barcode sticker on the back of the unit that provides the model and serial number.
