The $79 fee includes installing front and rear cameras and hard wiring it to the fuse box IF YOU SUPPLY THE HARD WIRE KIT. Most cameras just come with a wire to the cigarette lighter. You have to buy and provide a separate wiring kit to have it wired to the fuse box so it will work when the car is parked. I don't have the paperwork handy to answer your question about a guarantee, but the technician had installed the microSD card and had it working when he turned it over to me, which means that he had gone through the initial set up to get it to turn on.
