Defender HD Wireless cameras are compatible only with the WHD1T4 DVR and cannot be connected with the wired camera systems. A:AnswerThank you for your question JM, this may be a question better suited for your internet service provider. While the DVR does use internet bandwidth while streaming to your phone, it would not affect your bandwidth when not streaming to the Defender HD App.
A:AnswerGreat question Pauli,
The cameras do have a disconnect at 8 feet through the 16 feed of included power cord. They are tested down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit but they can withstand lower temperatures. We are located in Niagara Falls Canada and had a particularly bitter winter with no issues. Please take into account that wind chill does not affect cameras.
A:AnswerGreat question Jimg.
Defender HD Wireless cameras have a maximum range up to 650 feet with line of sight. While the signal can pass through certain materials, any obstacles to reduce this overall maximum range.
A:AnswerGreat question JT.
The optimum range of these cameras would be 150 feet. Some materials such as metal and brick will affect this range more than drywall for example. It should work, but it may not reach the maximum range or signal strength.
A:AnswerThank you for your question.
You will find a zoom option when you click the individual camera views. This allows you to expand a selected section of the image. Please bear in mind that these cameras do not have an adjustable optical zoom.
A:AnswerDefender Wireless HD does not have audio recording capabilities. It is compatible with online viewing through the Defender HD app on iPhone as well as Android.
A:AnswerGreat question Mike.
The camera cable is 15 feet long in total. There is a disconnect at 8 feet which allows you to feed the power cord through a wall if needed.
A:AnswerGreat question Jen.
I would not recommend this internet setup for use with the Defender HD. Using the DVR to view online uses upload data when you view it outside your network, and download when using it on your local network.
A:AnswerThank you for your question Prashant.
Defender HD Wireless is compatible only with WHDCB1 model cameras. It will not accept cameras from another manufacturer.
