• This system is capable of recording audio but you have to purchase the hardware separately. I was able to find a number of compatible options online for very cheap.

• Thank you for your interest in the HD1T8 DVR Joey. While we do supply the connections on the DVR for audio recording, there is no two way audio option. You can record audio, but not speak through it to someone at the location of the cameras. The PHOENIXM2 model is capable of this however!
