• Great question Franco. To view the cameras on a smartphone through the Defender HD app, you would need to have the DVR connected to your router through a wired internet connection. The system does not offer WiFi connectivity.

• The system works without being connected to your local network. However, you will not get alerts on your mobile devices unless it is connected to your internet service. That needs a wired ethernet connection.
