All you need is an av Receiver or some kind of Radio with speaker inputs

The subs are powered but you'll need a good amp or receiver to realize the full listening experience they can provide

The speaker has a built in amp for the subwoofer only. You'll need an amp or receiver for connecting the mid and tweeters speakers. Please see picture. L and R connection for mids and tweeter speaker. L and R for Atmos A90 speakers if you purchase those speakers that go on top of the BP9040's. There is a subwoofer connection IF you want to use your amp or receivers subwoofer output instead of the built amp on the BP9040 speakers. (IF you chose to do that, you will not need to plug in the BP9040's to an electrical outlet. Hope that helps.

Yes, you need a receiver or amplifier to power these. These speakers do have to be plugged in to a wall outlet if you would like to use the gain control on the back of the speakers. That will give you more control of the bass output according to your likes. These speakers are phenomenal! If you don’t have a subwoofer, these just may be all that you’ll need... Connect the output from the receiver or amplifier to the bottom two terminals on the back of the speakers. The top two terminals are designed for connecting the Atmos speakers (A90s’) if you have them.

All you need is an AV receiver. Recommend Pioneer Elite VSX-LX304.

No you don't need anything extra to run them. They are supplied with the wall outlet power cable. Just plug them in and connect to receiver and you're good to go!
