• You can't install Word and Excel on a Chromebook. You can use the online versions but you can't install anything except for Google Chrome browser extensions on any Chromebook.

• Ours did not. My daughter uses google docs at school so we didn't want to add the extra cost when she wouldn't need it. We could have added it, but chose not to.
