I think it would be. It is affordable and lightweight. It doesn't have a lot of useless background programs. I use it to play videos and play a game.

And they take them home every day so they get some pretty hard use and abuse and yet keep on functioning. For your little tykes I think this is a GREAT idea ... getting them keyboarding early and yet without ads and pop-ups that are so often not appropriate. These are a great classroom tool, will easily do remote learning zooms, sharing of documents. No kid worth his gaming salt will try and use one of these for shoot-em-up games because these devices just aren't designed to be used that way; most kids give up trying! Yea!!!
