• Hello, Thank you for your interest in the Dell 23" LED monitor! If you have a discrete video card installed in your XPS 8500, I recommend a standard DVI-D cable to use to connect with the monitor. These are the cables that do not have the extra 4 pins on the side near the wide pin. Hope this helps! JonathanNforDell
