To be very honest, I purchased this monitor in order to see construction drawings and contracts on a screen larger than my Surface 7. It works perfectly for that. It claims the monitor has external speaker choice via the jack plug on back of the monitor but I have not tried them. There are two HDMI cable slots on back also. I downloaded the driver and manual simple enough. That's all that you need aside from the respective HDMI cable to whatever your computer requires. My MS Surface 7 requires an HDMI adapter to use HDMI to HDMI.. The screen is crystal clear but unless you use the expanded view, the sides are blacked out. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the monitor. Good buy for the value.
