is the ram 1 16gb module or 2 * 8gb modules ? null

This laptop has 2 8gb sticks of ram installed but can go up to 32gb of ram in total.

Just for the record, Crucial says you can go up to 64GB RAM (32x2). Also, it's a dual channel mobo, so keep that in mind and try to populate both slots with RAM with the same specs. And it case you wondered, there are two slots for the drive as well, so you can upgrade to 8TB (4x2).
