• I have had my G7 for a couple of weeks now and it performs very well. I don't do gaming but I do video editing and it is much faster than my 3 year old system. With the high end i7 processor and the GTX 1060 graphics card it should work well for gaming and school work.

• It will get the job done for both. It is a little on the heavy side to carry around in your backpack.
