“I want a laptop and only do simple things like checking my emails, playing basic games you can download, or surf the net. Will this computer be what I need for that? I don't graphics, video or music streaming or anything along that line. Thanks.”

Yes for email/web surfing it's cool. I don't know about downloading games because by the time all the Dell features/apps are done downloading it doesn't leave much space left for about anything unfortunately.
