QuestionWill the vents be partially blocked if the lid is closed when using the laptop with a docking station on a flat surface? It looks like the bottom vents need to be elevated by opening the lid, and it looks like the hinge vents need the lid to be open.

- Answer In general even the vents are open and you are using it on flat surface, it still gets hot. Opening the lid does not lift the base.
