• Yes the 6GB RAM can be expanded to 8gb. The RAM is virtual memory, you would only have to upgrade the RAM , if you are multi tasking. For average use 6GB should be enough. The 1TB is the Hard Drive, that's what holds the OS and mass storage.

• No you do not need to expand or worry about the 6gb. 1TB is more than enough memory and you may never even come close to ever using the terabyte.
