Hello Marty! The Intel Core i3 is a 10th Gen, so it will be the most recent version of the Intel i3 Processor. It is better than the previous Intel Pentium processors. However, it is not the strongest available processor. Intel has three Core processors: i3, i5, and i7. Core i7 will be your best option, but an i3 is Intel's most recent and best quality i3 manufactured to date. In regards to the 8GB, that is the standard amount of memory used for all computers. Some laptops can have additional memory, but this should be more than sufficient unless you are running specific software that might require minimum specification, like AutoCAD.
