Windows Are there any Dell computers for purchase that DO NOT have windows 8? Or can windows 7 be installed into the newer computers? If so, is this something Best Buy could do?

No all the new computers and laptops come with Windows 8 you can install Windows 7 in it and Best Buy can do it for you.

It comes with windows 8 but windows 7 can be installed. I would think Best Buy could do this.

I have checked with Best Buy and they have only Windows 8 on all Dells. I checked on line for Windows 7 laptops and they are more expensive than the ones with Windows 8. I believe this is the manufacturers way of saying we want you to use Windows 8

From my research online over the last 3-4 weeks, Best Buy doesn't have any Windows 7 machines in their stores but you can get them online. I got my Windows 7 machine at Costco, in the store. You can order from Staples and others as well. Just check online. I heard Windows 9 is coming out in Fall 2014 that will hopefully get rid of the Windows 8 fiasco.

You can uninstall Windows 8 and reinstall Windows 7.
