“This laptop seems to have no power indicator on the power button, even though there is a plastic lens. I don't think mine is burned out (it is brand new!), and an online search seems to indicate that there is no power indication on the button! Is it true?”

I have 2 of these PCs and you are correct, no backlighting on the power button (or anything else other than Caps Lock). I'm guessing the lens is probably a common part used on other models that do have backlighting. So far I'm happy with the PC, despite its lack of bells and whistles, it makes up for it in value. Also, I have NO issues with speed.
