Yes. BUT this is the second of this same computer that I have bought in the last year and a half. Both have issues with the adapter/plug in cord plus battery gets to where it won't hold a charge.

No, it does not. However, you can buy an external DVD drive for around $50-$60, and connect it via USB port. This actually makes sense to me. If the internal DVD drive on your computer stops working, for whatever reason, it compromises the whole device.
