I was sitting inside Taco Bell, using my laptop, with a full charge (100%). I got 60 minutes, with the battery down to 20%, with only Light Use ... !!! No videos ... No TV ... No YouTube ... No movies ... No music ... No downloading/uploading ... No 2-way video conferencing ... No transferring files ... No bluetooth .... Just surfing the Internet, checking email and Facebook, that's all ... !!! I am very disappointed ... !!! I will be searching for another laptop to use away from home that provides excellent battery life under heavy use ...... However, this is a great laptop for home use, if always connected to the AC Wall Outlet. It does get bogged down, lag and freeze, when too many apps/windows are open. My Samsung Note 8 Smartphone does better with handling many apps/windows open at the same time, which is surprising. My Dell laptop has 16GB RAM. I will be upgrading to 32GB RAM tomorrow .....

This particular pre-configured laptop comes with a 3-cell lithium ion battery with a capacity of 42Wh, which basically means... It's a low capacity battery for a laptop that runs a larger screen, has mechanical hard drive and CD player and is equipped with hardware that will consume battery power rapidly. In my opinion, it is under powered. You will likely get between 1 hour and 2.5 hours of usage with a 3-cell 42Wh battery running this hardware configuration. You will most likely not be able to watch a full movie on battery power alone. Basic web browsing you might get through a 2 hour flight, but don't count on this lasting as long as a 5-6 cell battery. Aside from battery life, this is a great PC.
