• No it doesn't detach. It flips around to lay flat behind it like a note book. I personally love this feature.

• Hello, the keyboard does not detach like a Microsoft Surface it only has a 360° flip-and-fold design meaning you can fold the laptop to look like a tablet but the keyboard itself will be at the bottom of the screen once it is in tablet mode.
