According to the Service Manual posted at: http://downloads.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_laptop/esuprt_inspiron_laptop/inspiron-13-7347-laptop_Service%20Manual_en-us.pdf it takes one RAM module. In other words, RAM is not soldered to the motherboard. So, if you want to put in a 16GB module, you should be able to if it's the same type. Seems plenty fast with 8GB for me, though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to the Dell manual, it offers this statement: :" Procedure1 Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the memory-module slot. Use caution as this may void the warranty? Slide the memory module firmly into the slot at an angle and press the memory module down until it clicks into place.NOTE: If you do not hear the click, remove the memory module and reinstall it. Inspiron 137000 Series Service Manual. I have not tried this procedure but only offer what the manual indicates. I would think adding more memory would increase the drain on the battery so service life on the battery would be shortened just as adding a larger SSD.
