although I am often streaming video on top of whatever else I am doing, I dont think I have ever gotten anywhere close to 8-10 hours. 4-7 hours is better. at full screen brightness you will be looking more at 4-5 in my experience. Windows 10 has a "battery saver" feature however that does a heck of a job stretching the battery life out, especially if you just use it in the last 30 percent of the battery it can really be clutch
