Yes, Microsoft Edge is now the preferred web browser for Windows 10. Internet Explorer is also installed, but Edge is the default. Edge does not include Word or Excel, but a browser extension can be installed to open Office documents within the Edge browser. However, any Office documents must first be uploaded to OneDrive (Microsoft's cloud) before you will be able to access them through Edge. You will need to log-in to your Microsoft account (which you will create on initial setup of the desktop) in order to access your OneDrive storage. I do not like cloud storage, so I purchased and installed (one-time purchase - no subscription) Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019 on my desktop.
