This system is supports one of the following storage configurations: One 3.5-inch hard-disk drive or One M.2 2230 solid-state drive and yes, the m.2 port will be unoccupied. We suggest you to not do any third party or non-Dell aftermarket upgrade, as that can void the system’s warranty. We suggest you to contact the Dell Technical support team regarding this query.
