A:AnswerProbably not, but you should check the system requirements for the software. I would think the I3 processor would be a little underpowered and 8G of RAM on a shared graphics would have poor response for CAD.
A:Answeryou need to use a slimline card like the Radeon R7 250. dell can give you a full list. the power supply is only 240 so you need to use slim graphic cards
A:AnswerNo, this machine's power supply will not support any additional power connections. It only has a 14 pin system board power connection and a 4 pin CPU power connection. Power to peripherals is handled by two 4 pin connectors on the system board. To upgrade to a video card that uses a PCI-e power connector you will have to upgrade to a power supply that has the extra connections. I upgraded mine to a Corsair CX550m modular power supply that fits perfectly and will support anything you can throw at it. Just remember you also need to get a 24 to 14 pin system board power adapter.
A:AnswerToo much. I recommend letting Geek squad remove all the globware, do the updates and install the webroot. I even had them install my Office 2007 suite. Windows 10 is the last OS that will work with it.
A:AnswerI was told it is not friendly with Windows 7. It has a nice touchscreen so I haven't minded 10. I hated it when my husband did the upgrade on our old laptop. Windows 10 only makes sense on a touchscreen.
A:AnswerThe power supply onboard is 350w. It's enough for the equipment installed, but you will need to upgrade if you want to add a real video card (recommended). You can replace it with a 600w PS for less than $100.
