Yes, there is an option to add a 3.5-inch internal hard disk drive. The system does not have an internal optical drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.To my knowledge, the answer is no. It seems to have a 500G SSD built in (459G on directory) . On my older Dell which this replaced I had the GS folks add a couple drives, in essence a "C" (standard), plus D and E. In this model the GS folks indicated there is no place or physical space in this box to insert more drives, whether regular mechanicals, SSD, or other...ie no internal expansion capabilities per the GS. An attraction to this box for me was the 4 USB ports in front which allow for plugging in multiple portable HD's, plug-in disc-drive, etc at the same time that somewhat offsets the single-drive inboard.
