Retired and Loving My New Computer

Replaced an 12 year PC with with a Dell Tower with a major updated, fast and improved system. So far I am very pleased with this computer. I had the Geek Squad set up everything for me and he did an fantastic job. I have Geek Squad Total Tech Support anyway so the option was just right for me. I have used this system for less of a month, no issues. It is very quite, and updates and ease of of use are very simple. The only major issue I had with Dell is I am disappointed that I wasn't able to update any proprietary hardware which made any addons and upgrades a bit rough or nonexistent. This system didn't come with an Internal DVD/CD optical drive. I brought an external drive and it works alright. That all said, I am really happy that I made this purchase and I would highly recommend this computer.

Easy set up, good performance so far, it's a good value for the price, though I would have liked an option with more memory. Would have liked an internal speaker as well, but for the price and processor, I can't imagine doing much better.

I have used it for a month, no problems. It is quiet, fast and set up was very simple. My only surprise/disappointment is that it does not come with a DVD/CD drive built in. The Dell external drive is cheap however, and plugs right in to the USB. Keep this in mind if you have games on disks.

This is a great computer for regular school work or work. It can handle a few smaller games, nothing major. I mostly use it for schoolwork. RAM is just average, but it makes up for it with the other specs. I can often have several things running at once without any lag. It runs fast enough for certain activities, such as writing, browsing online, watching videos, and creating, but probably couldn't handle more complex games without crashing.

So far I've enjoyed using the pc, it's quick to setup and runs pretty smooth and fast. I'm not using it for anything expect work school and school so I can't really say to much about gaming. It's also small enough to put anywhere which for me is great. But beware there is NO CD/DVD DRIVE. I knew this through my research but I figure this might save some people time. I bought an optic drive so it wasn't an issue.

Performance is outstanding. Quietest computer I have ever owned. I had one significant problem. The picture of the unit in the ad convinced me that this unit contained a CD drive. Because of that picture, I never double checked the specs to insure it did in fact contain a CD drive. My fault. However, I would advise that you add a definitive statement near the ad picture affirming that the unit does not contain a CD drive. I feel I was misled by the ad and it caused several problems.

I think this product is reliable. I recommend this item to anyone who is looking for something like this. What a awesome color. This item is one of those items that you must have. Talk about storage and flexibility, this baby is equipped with all you need to start a upcoming business or just for simple personal use. My opinion, its compact and easy to use. You go dell.

Easiest desktop I’ve ever set up. Other than typing in some id’s it was literally plug and play. I set up two monitors and it automatically sensed and the displays came up just the way I wanted them, didn’t have to go into the settings at all. I love the SOLID STATE DRIVE. The computer is super quiet and there’s practically no boot up-just turn it on and go to work. 2 27” monitors and there’s no lag or tracers with video and I use a Fidelity stock program which runs perfectly—much better (crisper images, clean smooth real time data refreshes) than I’ve had with any other computer so far. Great machine.

Replaced an 8 year old tower with a Dell "latest everything"; blew me away. If I did this every year, I might be in a position to be a little more critical but this rascal is snappy nice. One day, I might miss the optical drive but not at the moment.
Geek Squad setup was a snap. I just happened to be subscribed to Total Tech Support, so the price was right. I'll be happy to pay next time though.

This is a fast machine compared to others I have had. Not for gaming, but it could be used for some. In an area where internet speeds are not always great (Charter Spectrum), speedof.me registered 400MBs download and 35MBs upload at a particular moment. USB hub is a must for intense business use. Don't forget to buy DVD device as not built in. Great value under $800 on sale.

I work from home and utilize my PC primarily for office and online requirements. This machine set-up flawlessly (Bluetooth, networking, etc.) and utilizes the SSD and upper end memory and processing capability to soar through applications in near instant times. This PC replaced an older Inspiron that still worked reasonably well, so I wasn't sure if upgrading was worth it. It was. There really is no comparison in terms of speed and stability between old and new. If your on the fence about upgrading an older system; climb over and do it- no regrets at all, this is a great machine and notable upgrade.
Quick comment: As clearly noted in the description, there is no CD/DVD drive though the case has a slot that can accommodate one if desired.

Love this PC! It’s quick and does everything I ask it to do without pausing or hesitation. Easy to set up out of the box, plenty of jacks in BACK and USB in Front. Took me a while to realize mine doesn’t have a CD drive but who uses CD’s anymore anyway !? Got it on sale for a good price and hopefully it lasts a few years.

I give this PC a 3.5 star. The speed is good, not great, it comes with only 12gb mem, but I knew that before I purchased it. I plan on upgrading the memory, but I cant find out upgradable the memory is. I was disapointed to discover that it does not have a dvd/cd , just a fake slot.. I give it a C+

Boots up in seconds, fast, and works as I would expect it to. Bought this PC due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the fear of having to work from home on a tiny laptop. Side note: I must say options for picking up an i7 PC at Best Buy were limited(basically between this and the HP Envy). I am so glad I picked this Dell as I see from other reviews that the HP is apparently heavily bugged.
I bought this end of November and have not needed to go into my work office since. I use it daily, 8-9 hours per day/40+ hours per week and have not had any issue. Comes with a mouse and keyboard which was nice. I like the keyboard but the mouse feels pretty cheap but gets the job done. If you need a PC for basic stuff (browsing internet, writing papers/doing PowerPoint/excel stuff or even working from home and also want something you can pick directly from the Best Buy store near you, then look no further. If you get it on sale (lower than $899) then even better because it’s worth the $899 that I paid IMO.

I work at home and manage a team of 40 agents taking calls, my computer is something I really rely on to get the job done-- anything happens to it, instant panic mode. So far, I've had it for a couple of months, it has kept up with what I need and has been quite reliable. The matter of the fact is that I need to run a ton of programs at the same time, my last computer finally had enough and "quit" on me after about 8 months of use (different computer, different story). My only complaint with this computer is honestly something that is on me, I didn't check for the types of ports on this particular model and I have yet to configure a 3rd monitor with the available ports. It seems that, unless you get crafty with adapters, it has a max of 2 monitors. Anyway, so far it has been a smooth ride working with this computer regardless of the endless spreadsheets, programs and meetings being used on a daily basis. I'd say worth it, though I am no PC expert.

This is the perfect size to fit into a tight space in the lab. Set up was super easy. It is fast and should do the job for next few years.
It is quiet even when it is working hard to collect data and control the instrument. Not a whole lot of fan noise.

I've had HP computers for more than two decades. I purchased another from Best Buy and after much frustration in trying to set it up, I took it back. I've never used a Dell before so was unsure just how it would work. It was super easy to set up and It was done in an afternoon, including work arounds for some of the old programs on CD. It doesn't have a DVD/CD drive but an external one works just fine.
