• 1Gb of RAM on this model of which up to 800Gb is used by the operating system leaving not enough for the apps. It is crippled by a lack of RAM. A 2Gb model is occasionally available which would be OK but not this one.

• This version has 1Gb which ordinarily would be OK but on this machine, only around 300Mb is available to the user. I found this a serious problem as many programs stuttered badly when they ran. I took mine back for a refund.

• The venue 8 model 3830 had 2Gb of ram. The new venue 8 (3840) has only 1Gb. It ran so slow I sent it back to Dell.
