Yes, that correctly describes the screen. The display is "infinity" style and extends to within a few mm of the edge of the case, even adjacent to the cameras at the top. The display also extends down so it's very close to the hinge. It's a touch display and for example I use it for the Free42 calculator app or to scroll the screen. The native resolution is 3840x2400 and it has an anti-reflective coating. For adding an external monitor for extended desktop use, the XPS 17 comes in the box with a Dell DA20 adapter which supports a HDMI monitor and a USB-A port. For support of more external ports and a wired LAN, I recommend the Dell DA300 small mini-dock (additional low cost purchase required).
