This unit comes with Windows 10 Home, however open-box units have a very small chance to have Windows 10 Pro if it had been upgraded by the purchaser and NOT tied to a Microsoft account during the purchase process (this would then tie it to the hardware, and would allow it's use after the factory reset at time of return or by Geek Squad for the certification process). While this is possible, it is highly unlikely and it is best to consider all units to have Windows 10 Home installed by default.

But I'd still avoid this machine unless you are doing light work and light web browsing. It seems to throttle down to .69 Ghz under seemingly mundane tasks. No fan in this machine has seriously crippled the already lightweight mobile processor.
