Double check that your computer is actually shutting down and not just sleep mode. It may be running all the time and will over heat. Had the same problem and found multiple accounts on the internet. When I would shut mine down the windows would reboot in one second. I actually did not notice it, but IT at work did when he was loading things for me. We both looked on the net and only found reports of the problem and overheating. Geek Squad was NO HELP. I could not believe they did not have a solution. Sorry I could go on about them. Finally IT called dell and it is a setting issues with windows 10. He made those changes and mine has worked great. I wish I knew more but I'm not IT, but it is fixable. Call Dell directly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the Dell XPS and it too emitted a LOT of heat. There wasn't a fan grid on mine. I don't know if you have one on yours. I also had to return TWO of them because there was no audio installed. MAKE SURE if you are going to return it you do it before 14 days. I was there on the 15th days and they hassled me about returning it even though it was defective. The Geek Squad had to get involved and said "Yes, let her return it, because it's defective."
