“I enjoy this machine. One question, please.. Does anyone purge the steam wand before steaming milk due to initial blast of excess water.? I purge 4-5 seconds and then start steaming milk, anyone else? Thank you for any advice or thoughts.”

Yes, always purge to get that water out
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I watched a few videos on Delonghi's web site - once the 'ready' light turns green, they put a towel under the steam wand and turn it on just for a second to clear the excess water. That's what I've done and it seems to work just fine.
