Yes, you can listen to pandora and other streaming services on this device. For spotify you must have the paid version. All can be controlled via device remote control and via the Denon and HEOS phone app. There are two zones for playing music indoor and outdoors. If your inexperienced, set up can be a bit of a challenge but there's plenty of videos out there to help. If you have a 7.1 or 7.2 speaker set up, expect to lose 2 speakers that must be designated as "zone 2" (outdoor speakers in my case). Onkyo has a betters set up for zone 1-2 if you have 7.1 speaker set up- turning on zone 2 on their devices shuts off two speakers and turns on the zone 2 outdoor speakers. However if you use HDMI output to a TV I would avoid any onkyo device at all costs. I speak from experience and can be confirmed with an internet search.
