It only supports 7 speakers and 2 subs total, so standard 7.2 or 5.2 + 2 Atmos only. You would need a different receiver, 9.2, 11.2 or 13.2. It is also lacking a dedicated Pre Out (used for subwoofers), so another amp couldn't be connected.

Please try again later.Fellow Denon 7.2 Owner, I asked the same question to one of the Geek Squad's technicians while he was installing my system, and he responded with; ""If you should ever want to install an additional 2 speakers to your set-up, you would have to Upgrade to a 9.2 Receiver." I do not think that you can install an additional amp to this receiver, that's old school. Hope this help, DRo
