- Answer Hello. You can hook up a turntable, however you will need a preamp for the turntable or you will need to purchase a turntable with a built in preamp.

- Answer No, it's very much HDMI/digital everything. I have a CD player hooked up to it but that's about all the "old" it will handle. I have two "ancient" Denon AV receivers that still work just fine. (One is twenty years old!) They are the best for all the old stuff like turntables, CD players, tube TVs, and even tape decks. They work best with my ancient Infinity speakers, too so I'm keeping both receivers to use with MY old turntable and LPs. I've seen some older Denons for sale... do a search. Mine have never needed any repair but I've kept them on battery-backup/line conditioners and I never "blasted" sound. I've seen complaints about other Denons "cutting out" but mine never do. Good luck!

QuestionI like to use head phones while my wife likes the normal speakers. I made the mistake last year of buying one that turned off the speakers as soon as I pluged in the head set. If this does not do both at the same time can you tell me what will?

- Answer From manual... Headphones jack (PHONES) This is used to connect headphones. When the headphones are plugged into this jack, audio will no longer be output from the connected speakers or from the SUBWOOFER connectors. Hope that helps you...

QuestionCan you set this receiver up so that it automatically turns on when you turn on the attached streaming device (like a Firestick)? My old receiver did this and it was such a great feature since my receiver is hidden in a cabinet.

QuestionI have a firestick, Can i plug directly into the receiver HDMI ports and be able to hear the sound from the firestick through surround sound? Looking for an option other than hearing sound from the firestick directly from the TV speakers....

- Answer There is one hole in the front for the setup mic, every other input/output is on the back side. I guess there are ventilation holes on top of the unit as well if that floats your boat.

- Answer Yes...but I suggest that you use an HDMI cable to connect your disc exchanger to the receiver and just choose 'game' or 1 out of the 6 channels that you have from the receiver.

- Answer I am picking up stations around 32 miles away. The pick up distance for any receiver has nothing to do with the receiver itself, it is all about your antenna. You need to look for a antenna booster or an outside directional antenna.

QuestionWhy when I hook my 4k fire tv stick into the media player hdmi port on the receiver it doesn't pass through 4k to my 4k tv it only passes through as 1080p. This is with me using a top notch 4k hdmi cable and the arc port on the receiver to the arc porttv.

- Answer That's the limitation of the Denon Receiver, - - - - - - > Connect your Fire TV Stick 4K to your TV's HDMI 2 port, then the Denon Receiver to the ARC HDMI 1 port on the TV - - - - - - > So now you can turn on your system in 2 ways - - - - - - - > 1) Press the Home button on the Fire TV Stick 4k - the TV and the Denon Receiver will all automatically go On. - OR - 2) Turn the TV On and the Denon Receiver will also go On automatically.
