“Why when I hook my 4k fire tv stick into the media player hdmi port on the receiver it doesn't pass through 4k to my 4k tv it only passes through as 1080p. This is with me using a top notch 4k hdmi cable and the arc port on the receiver to the arc porttv.”

That's the limitation of the Denon Receiver, - - - - - - > Connect your Fire TV Stick 4K to your TV's HDMI 2 port, then the Denon Receiver to the ARC HDMI 1 port on the TV - - - - - - > So now you can turn on your system in 2 ways - - - - - - - > 1) Press the Home button on the Fire TV Stick 4k - the TV and the Denon Receiver will all automatically go On. - OR - 2) Turn the TV On and the Denon Receiver will also go On automatically.
