QuestionHow do I get the AVR S530-BT to work with the xbox one x. Does not pass the video signal through to the TV. Audio works fine, just no video. Connect the xbox to the TV directly and it works perfectly in 4k. Have toyed with all settings. Are the ads lying

- Answer Turns out the problem was the "UHD HDMI cable supplied by Direct TV when they installed the 4k receivers in our home. The cable is an in wall cable and we assumed they had it right. Turns out we can't get 4K direct tv because of our poor internet speed in this remote location. We were able to solve the problem by playing with some of the new cables we bought at Best Buy. Problem solved.

- Answer Not sure what you mean by a 6.1 setup, have never heard of that, so I am going to side with no. Each of the five speaker channels are independent along with the two subwoofer outputs. It seems like you may be equating a 5.2 => 6.1, which isn't possible.

QuestionCan I have two different zones (A&B) with this receiver?

- Answer The stereo does not have zones. However, it has 5 channels that allows you to connect 5 devices to it. ie. CD player, phono, cassette, etc. If zones are needed, you can run the speaker wire to a zone device that leads to each of your existing zones.

QuestionIs the instruction manual easy to follow? I have an old Denon surround sound receiver I am replacing, because the optical connection stopped working. The instructions are horrible; the sentence structure is almost impossible to follow.

QuestionI was wondering if a Parasound EQ300 can be connected to this receiver. Is so, which input/output on the Denon. If not, is there another Denon product you might recommend. Here's a photo of the back panel of my Parasound EQ300. Thanks!

- Answer No sir but you can connect to a 685 model or the newer version But you can in a roundabout way, by using an area that has in and out audio with the same input. For example the tape in and tape out. You can connect there and use your device

QuestionI have an audio technica turntable LP60 and am trying to hook it up to this receiver but having no luck. I have set the turntable to line and phono and no luck on either. Am I missing something? I’ve connected the turntable to cbl and media player inputs

- Answer I hooked mine to the red and white RCA plugs labeled "CBL/SAT" and set my LP60 preamp to "line" and it works fine once I select cbl/sat on the receiver

- Answer had receiver month using 5 speakers & subwoofer replacing 15 yr receiver that I replaced/ could not asked for any better sound !!!! Would not trade for any other receiver!!!!!

QuestionI purchased an AVRS530BT last Saturday, hooked it to an old tuner which worked fine. Finally connected it to my 4k tv, and now I have no audio. Does the turner require a specific cable for the audio? Thank you.
