Turns out the problem was the "UHD HDMI cable supplied by Direct TV when they installed the 4k receivers in our home. The cable is an in wall cable and we assumed they had it right. Turns out we can't get 4K direct tv because of our poor internet speed in this remote location. We were able to solve the problem by playing with some of the new cables we bought at Best Buy. Problem solved.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You plug all components via hdmi directly into the back of the receiver & then run a 4k hdmi cable from receiver to back of 4k TV.
