QuestionI have 2 subs connected to the AVR but when I ran Audyssey it didn’t play the test tone on the second sub but there is sound coming out the sub any reason the second sub didn’t appear as far as how many subs are connected when I ran it.

QuestionHave a new Denon AVR-S950H and trying to connect zone 2 speakers to two sets of stereo speakers outdoors (a left/right set on the east side of my patio and one set left/right on west side). I don't get any sound out of them. What's the correct setup?

- Answer Playback in ZONE2 (Another room) You can operate this unit to enjoy audio in a room (ZONE2) that is different from the room where this unit is placed (MAIN ZONE). You can simultaneously play back the same source in both the MAIN ZONE and ZONE2. You can also play back separate sources in the MAIN ZONE and ZONE2. It is not possible to play the digital audio signals input from the HDMI, COAXIAL or OPTICAL connectors in ZONE2. Use analog connections for ZONE2 playback. (This is info direct from the operations manual, hope it helps)

QuestionI have 5 speaker theater system with a 4yr old xenon re ever. When I choose any of the movie sound choices only the front 3 spkrs play. To get the full surround sound with all 5 spkr in the ceiling i have to choose multi channel stereo. How do I solve?

- Answer This Denon system has outputs for a 2nd zone; but I think you can only do that is you only hook up 5 speakers in your main listening room. I hooked up 7 speakers (including a subwoofer), so there weren’t any speaker outputs left. It was so much easier to connect than my 10 year old Harman Kardin system was 10 years ago. You set up a mic in several locations in the room, and the system automatically adjusts speaker output to optimize the sound in the room.

- Answer Yes; I have 4 high speakers (one in each corner of the room; and two large main speakers. It sounds great. I also have a subwoofer, but usually leave it off as overkill.

- Answer The question was not having sound but when listening to the receiver with both speakers on and a Bluetooth headset on that the sound echoes in the headset. It is heard at a slightly different time delay. My wife is hard of hearing and needs to use a headset and I don’t. What can be done to fix the sound so there is no echo when using the headset. Can I output the sound on the receiver to a wireless headset that will provide the sound with no echo? Thank you and look forward to your reply Peter

  Unfortunately no, this unit does not have the HDMI Zone 2 OUT feature. The AVR-X3600H and up will have this feature.

  No, this soundbar cannot be connected to the receiver. The soundbar is designed to be used independently and not with a receiver.

- Answer You can play music or other audio through Bluetooth from any Bluetooth capable device. If you have music on your phone, enable the Bluetooth on your phone, push the Bluetooth button on your Denon remote, and it will search for any nearby bluetooth signal, and automatically connect and play all the music in your phone music file. The transmitting device usually has to be in the same room as the receiver for it to work well.
