Q: QuestionWHERE IS THE SUB WOOFER INPUT ON THAT BACK?
Asked by RED.
- A:Answer
Hey Red,
So on the AVR-X1500H the subwoofer connection is labeled as a PRE-OUT. You will need a active subwoofer to make this connection.

Q: QuestionWill this model works with Polk PSW10 sub woofer
Asked by SRK.
- A:Answer I am currently using the polk psw10 and it works fine. This isnt the best suboofer so i will be upgrading. But receivers now in days all have LFE outs which are pre amp outputs. Receivers with LFE out are compatible with any powered subwoofer that accepts LFE.

Q: QuestionWhat is the largest subwoofer will this receiver handle without losing sound quality?
Asked by ram.
- A:Answer This receiver has 2 LFE out's. This is a pre amp out meaning it is just a processed signal that carries the Low Frequency information without being amplified. Because this is not amplified a powered subwoofer must be used to amplify the signal. Moral of the story is since the subwoofer uses its own power and doesnt use any of the receivers power, you are not limited on size, power usage or efficiency. But your room size and characteristics will be the ultimate judge of subwoofer size. Remember, with subwoofers bigger rarely means better. Look for build quality, quality of materials over size as these will affect the subs sound more than size will.

Q: QuestionCan you play streaming music to all speakers not surround sound while watching TV?
Asked by CyaS.
- A:Answer No, ive tried. The bluetooth or Heos are treated like their own video inputs. The only receiver i had that allowed for a different sound source to be played from the video source was Yamaha Aventage.

Q: Questionwhat exactly does the 4k capable aspects of this reciever do for me . I'm very interested cause I have a 4k tv I play through my stereo which is 4k pass thru, so I believe I"m not getting the full benefits possible. This is important to me so please answe
Asked by geralha1969.
- A:Answer I believe that "pass-thru" refers to the receiver's ability to pass a signal through even when it's not powered on. I have my DirecTV box plugged into the Denon. To keep it simple for some household members and visitors, I tell them to just use the DirecTV remote to watch TV and adjust the TV's own sound as needed. The Denon receiver is able to handle passing the signal on when it is "off". For me, I power on the Denon using my Logitech Harmony remote so that I have better sound.
