A:AnswerYes when you download the app you can see what the drone sees. It has an auto land feature on the app, very easy to use. Also your mini may need to be updated so you'll need to download the dji assistant on your laptop or desktop to fully update and get the drone ready for flight. Make sure to download the dji assistant on the computer for the mavic, the other versions won't recognize it when connecting to the computer. Hope this helps!

A:AnswerNo you are not required to use a phone with the drone, you can use the remote that it comes with. However the DJI FLY makes it a lot easier to see where your drone is and what it is recording. So the phone is not required but recommended.
A:AnswerYou need cell service to make sure that you have the latest updates. Then you can go fly into the woods. Keep in mind that you need to have your wifi settings active so it can communicate back with the drone.
A:AnswerKeep trying. Update all the software and firmware. You may be able to fly depending on the type of restriction zone. Mine is right on the edge of a b zone. Sometimes it lets me check some boxes and lift off. Most of the time it won’t take off. Very close to an international airport but I’m right at the base of a 100 meter mountain, which is not in any flight path. If you fly into restricted B airspace it will give you 99 seconds to return and land. My answer is basically my limited experience of flying for about a week. I think it allows takeoff when the airspace is clear and checking 3 boxes confirming liability etc... it’s more home work than expected to fly a little drone. Hopefully someone can pipe in with a better answer. I’ve got the mavic mini btw.
A:AnswerIt is not silent. You can hear the humming. It is not loud though. Once it comes lower you can definitely hear it. I really don't know what cheaper drones sound like and how loud they can get.
