Hey John, there is nothing internally limiting the Mavic Pro from working in the UK. There are of course no-fly-zones built into the app, but these are usually only found around areas of high air traffic. Please obey all airspace regulations in your area and stay informed to fly safely.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The DJI Mavic Pro is very popular in Great Britain, for both commercial and recreational use. Be sure to consult current local requirements and flight zone restrictions, if any, for the specific area in which you will be flying.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does fly anywhere you want, but airports have a "no fly zone". It is illegal to fly a drone in any "no fly zone".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The UK has very similar laws in place around drone use as the U.S. does. Common are altitude restrictions (never >400 ft) and the requirement the aircraft remain in your line of sight at all times. Prohibition on flying in populated areas, over sporting events, areas where restricted airspace is temporarily established due to dignitary presence or security concerns, NEVER around any emergency equipment or law enforcement activity, and not within 5 miles from any airfield where manned aircraft operate (without permission from the airfield). There are some nuances around operating in parks, national parts, and open areas, but mainly make sure where you operate, you're not in direct violation of any rules, and those (people) you operate around are aware and don't object.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In USA I use an app called AIR MAP. This will show you where to fly your drone safely also download flight radar 24 to check is there any flight nearby since with this drone you can go up to 2600 ft with no problem, but make sure there's no airplane flying on your route.... In USA you have to register your drone with FAA and same rule applies in Europe. When I was in Greece and Turkey I had to register my drone with little fee in both countries to not to get in trouble....
