- Answer It is 249 grams. The threshold that requires registration is 250 Grams, so if you add ANYTHING like a strobe light or landing gear, it will exceed that weight and require registration. A minimum of a TRUST certificate is required of anyone operating a drone. It does require a test that you cannot fail, is free and you can find it by googling Pilot Institute TRUST certificate. If you do register the drone, do it yourself on the FAA website for $5 for 3 years. There are scammers who will do it for you for $100 by leading you to believe that they are the FAA...the cost is only $5...do not pay more

- Answer There are two different Fly More Kits. One contains two additional standard batteries and they all have "249g" stamped on the battery itself. Those will not make the Mini 4 Pro exceed 249 grams. The Fly More kit with Plus batteries, where you posted this question, will take the weight of the drone above 249 grams, because although the batteries are the same physical size, the Plus batteries weigh more and increase the max flight time from 34 min to 46 minutes. The Plus batteries do not have "249g" stamped on them, which is the main way to tell the difference in the two types of battery.

QuestionI am very interested in purchasing this drone but I want to use it for filming on YOutube channel and for fishing. I need to carry the bait offshore which means it needs the Gannet release mechanism which i think is compatible. Please advise

- Answer Most of these answers are omitting the FACT, that if you intend to use the drone to promote a youtube channel, then you must acquire Part 107 Commercial sUAS certification. In order to maintain 44809 recreational status, you must be flying for purely recreational purposes. It doesn't even matter that your channel isn't monetized. Check Pilot Institue on youtube for more on this.

- Answer The Fly More Combo labeled "Plus" are the ones that exceed 249g total drone weight. There is also Fly More Combo that omits the word "Plus" and that one contains all standard batteries that keep the drone at 249 grams. The standard batteries have the label "249g" printed right on it. The Plus batteries have no such printing.

- Answer You can only fly 120m altitude legally. Yes this drone can fly up to 500m but only with proper authorization and part 107 license.

- Answer Yes, the mini 4 pro has omnidirectional obstacle avoidance capability, and it will automatically turn on in normal mode or tripod mode. It will turn off in sports mode. Please note that obstacle avoidance ability decreases or even fails in low light, so please fly in bright places. In addition, it cannot recognize mirrors, glass, water, or thin twigs or wires. For GPS, yes, it has a built-in GPS module. It will record the current location as the starting point when taking off. If the drone loses connection with the remote control, don't worry, it will automatically return to the starting point. And, during the return, it will automatically select the shortest route and avoid obstacles.

- Answer DJI recommends a 30 watt power supply for the batteries. The RC 2 controller supports up to 9V/3A charging. If you have the Two way charging hub you need a 30 watt USB-C charger and then you can plug the the remote controller into the USB-A on the hub to charge.
