“Can the Osmo Action be used without downloading the app?”

• Yes, you can use the cam out of the box. However, for best results, downloading the DJI Memo app will automatically download the newest firmware upgrade. The original firmware out of the box had some issues, but DJI is constantly correcting through upgraded firmware. This is one of the reasons went with DJI over GoPro.
