It will work with certain remote start units only. Without knowing what unit you currently have it would be hard to say. Stop in at your local best buy store and an installer there would be able to let you know for sure. There will always be a yearly fee with any cellular style device as there is a sim card similar to a cell phone that needs service for it to function. The yearly plans are cheaper without GPS tracking.
