- A:Answer The difference is what is measured. Peak amperage is the maximum current the unit can push out for a very short period of time. Cranking amps measures the current the unit can sustain for 30 seconds, at 32 degrees, F. FYI, COLD cranking amps is essentially the same as Cranking amps, except it is measured at 0 degrees, F.

- A:Answer Likely, yes if the temperature is warm and your battery is healthy. It is rated for a V8 6.0 displacement (40 jumps on one charge). Unless you are far above 6.0, you should be fine
