• Yes and no. I've burned several DVDs of from old VHS tapes we've got of family birthdays and what not and some work and some don't. If you burned with the standard NTSC format you should be good, however if you burned it with PAL format; you're out of luck. PAL will generally only play in the US on computer systems.

• We tried to play a few 'burned' DVDs, but we had no luck. Note: our burned DVDs came from videos filmed on our phone that we transferred to a disc. We have not tried any copied DVDs.
