“the power cord from my new 55" tv is very short. need extension. Is there a type of cord available that is best for this purpose(powering the hdtv)? Or will any decent cord be enough? Wish I didn't need to use one, but since I do I want to find the ideal extension cord. Approx 8+ feet”

this extension cord will work perfect. I had the same problem with my tv cord too short.
